Job Description:

About the Role

Dow Jones Risk & Compliance is a global provider of third-party risk management and regulatory compliance solutions. We deliver data, research tools and services to help our clients meet anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, anti-corruption and economic sanctions regulations and mitigate third-party risk.

You will lead and develop a team of multilingual experts who research, record and update details on individuals and entities mentioned in Sanctions & Other Official Lists (Special Lists) issued by government bodies and regulators around the world, for example, the Office of Foreign Assets Control in the US, national law enforcement bodies or securities regulators. You will report to the Director, Special Lists. You will be based in Barcelona.

You Will:

  • Train, support and develop your team to maximize their potential through motivation, coaching, counseling, and delegation

  • Organize and assign tasks to your team, allocating resources appropriately

  • Monitor and evaluate your team's performance

  • Respond to clients' questions about regulatory lists content

  • Monitor and analyze changes in anti-money laundering regulations

  • Write due diligence reports on companies and/or individuals as required and contribute to other projects

  • Collaborate and engage with other departments and support the Director to drive key business initiatives and decisions

  • Contribute to data and workflow improvements, and tool efficiencies

You Have:

  • Fluency in English / Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: Russian, French, German or Spanish

  • Prior regulatory compliance experience and understanding of sanctions regulations (ie OFAC, EU, HM and other global sanctions regulations)

  • At least three years' experience as a professional researcher or analyst

  • At least one year of experience managing a team or leading a project

  • Proofreading skills and experience in handling large volumes of information

  • Experience explaining data or processes and handling complex clients' queries

  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication

  • Interpersonal, leadership and coaching skills

  • An openness to different views and appreciation of team diversity

Preferred:

  • Certification(s) in AML/CFT

  • Knowledge of and interest in the global Sanctions landscape

  • Fluency in additional languages

  • Automation skills, such as advanced knowledge of Excel, Macros/VBA programming, Python, HTML and/or SQL

  • Education to a degree level or relevant experience
