Within the Dow Jones Professional Information Business, lead a variety of research and practical exploratory technology projects using the Dow Jones DNA Platform, its billions of articles from tens of thousands of sources, and existing internal and external datasets. Using your data engineering and data science domain expertise, work across multiple areas of the PIB group to enhance existing datasets and develop new potential datasets; create extraction, scoring, recommendation, semantic, analytic and other models; as well as the technology tools and processing systems to maintain and enhance them over time.
You will work with partner technology teams, and stakeholder groups from across Dow Jones PIB including news teams, content teams, market data teams and other business divisions. In partnership with Product and Technology teams, you identify potential applications of AI, ML, NLP, and supporting technologies to improve the quality, diversity and differentiation of Dow Jones data products.
Work with Dow Jones Professional Information Business teams to design, develop, implement, launch, document and support new data models and datasets based on AI and ML models for extraction and classification, and incorporate these as software services and enhancements to existing services
Undertake exploratory projects to assess new opportunities based on application of machine learning to Dow Jones business areas, and present ad-hoc analysis and results and recommendations.
Ensure technical knowledge is disseminated to other Dow Jones Technical teams and business stakeholders.
Facilitate broad collaboration with clear communications and documentation.
