About you:
You are a motivated Software Engineer looking to improve your expertise in the design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based applications. You thrive on team building and teamwork in agile software development environments, as well as exploring new technologies.
You also have:
3-5 years of design, development, deployment, and troubleshooting of software in both monolithic and microservice environments
Very strong Computer Science fundamentals
A deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
A deep understanding of the development APIs with HTTP, REST, and JSON, as well as their testing, and deployment.
Good working knowledge of the Java programming language or similar (nodejs is a plus)
Experience with Git, Jenkins
Interest and advocacy for test-driven development, or quality-first/no-regression culture
Experience writing unit, functional, performance, soak, and stress tests
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc is a plus.
Excellent verbal & written skills to interact with technical and business partners
Bachelor’s degree or similar
About the role:
You will be joining a new team based in Barcelona which will be working along with other Risk & Compliance teams both in Europe and the Americas. The team operates within the confines of a mature Engineering organization, there is daily access to support from platform engineering teams and more senior engineers.
Your minimum responsibilities in the sprint team:
Participate in all stages of the product life cycle, collaborate in building new software components, and ensure all existing ones are functioning
Continuously contribute and inquire during technical discussions, and backlog refinement sessions
Engage in the design, develop & support ReSTful APIs while following our SDLC best practices and guidelines
Build and execute rigorous load, stress, and performance tests before deploying software
Support the team and your teammates with contributions from both your experience and your current understanding/engagement of new technologies
Participate and present in knowledge sharing sessions
