Dow Jones is looking for a Business Consultant to join our Content Integration Technology Team.

Position Responsibilities:

In this position you will be a technical liaison between our internal teams (Sales, Product Development, and Engineering) and our Clients/Partners. The work includes a range of activities including those related to integration Dow Jones Newswires content into client’s platforms. You’ll help clients/partners solve technical problems, provide technical support and advise on best practices for integrating DJ news content.

The role will also involve planning and project management elements such as scope, planning and status, as well as managing dependencies across projects or releases.


  • Support all aspects of client engagements from scope definition to delivery

  • Understand client issues and needs and help map them to our solutions

  • Demonstrate initiative and effectively manage own time and schedule

  • Liaising extensively with external or internal clients

  • Analyzing clients' systems for compliance with our specifications

  • Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability

  • Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments

  • Some travel may be required

Position Requirements Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent

  • A minimum 3+ years' progressive experience in data communications, including TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, circuit provisioning

  • XML, JSON, Java Script and Web technologies along with API integration experience

  • Solid background in project management

  • Ability to convey technical issues in lay terms to financial professionals and other non-technical roles

  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience working in a matrix environment, building and fostering strong, productive working relationships across multiple departments

  • Skilled in preparing and delivering effective presentations using various forms of delivery including PowerPoint/GSuite

  • Experience with Trading & Investing applications for consumer and professional investors

  • Experience with Media & Publishing platforms is a plus
