The newly developed Professional Membership team is responsible for recruiting and retaining members of the world’s foremost influential business membership. We equip ambitious professionals with the essential intelligence and tools they need to better lead their industries, grow their businesses and advance their careers. We provide a highly specialized service that builds on the power of our journalism, the insight of our analysis, the ambition of our audience and the continuity of community.
Position Statement:
Working closely with Sales and Product teams to define, implement, and analyze an analytics suite of reports and provide insight into the numbers to help improve business outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Acquisition reporting suite
Buyer profiles by Sales Channel, Geography, Product of Interest, Industry, Job Function, Seniority, and Company Size
Breakdown of sales by lead type, lead close rates, ROI by lead type and marketing channel
Full sales and marketing funnel analysis
Penetration of top target organisations & supporting gap analysis
Propensity and lead scoring models
Retention & Upgrade reporting suite
Member/Account renewal rate, user renewal rate, revenue renewal rate
Cancellation analysis
Client engagement – Usage/attendance stats linked to CRR to predict churn indicators
Lifetime Value calculations – in order to direct future activity and spend
Xsell & Upgrade – identification of prime upgrade targets based on comprehensive account spend reviews
Interpreting trends from the data and working closely with sales and marketing stakeholders to enable them to understand the dynamics behind the data
Proposing future actions based on the insights learnt
Ensuring QA of data capture from various marketing sites
Hosting training sessions for stakeholders, and presenting data highlights from a business opportunity/benefit perspective
Preferred Tools/Skills:
Understanding of membership/subscription process
Understanding of ROI
Understanding of sales close rates and churn
SQL querying and connecting dashboards with custom queries
Advanced use of Excel
Creating dashboards in Tableau, Google Data Studio, Adobe
Use of Salesforce
Detail oriented in data quality, data cleansing and deriving insights
Self-starter
Strong written and oral communications needed
Knowledge/Experience: Ideally have worked as a Sales or Marketing Analyst within an organization that deals with membership and advertising models.
