The mobile team is building the next-generation of mobile apps for all of these brands and the apps will be delivered to millions of subscribers around the world. Design, develop, and test mobile applications for The Wall Street Journal and all Dow Jones brands.
Work closely with journalists, designers, data scientists, product managers and other engineers to build innovative solutions to current and future newsroom challenges.
Keep an eye on technical innovations and changing trends in the mobile landscape.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
1+ years of Android native Mobile development experience. Kotlin or JPC is preferred.
Familiar with data structure, system design, design patterns, API designs, MVC or MVVM, react, declarative UI, Git, and DevOps.
Experience with video streaming components and libraries such as Exoplayer, Android Media Player, etc. is a plus
Familiarity with cloud services, GraphQL, Firebase, etc is also a plus.
A passion for news and creativity to introduce new ideas and technologies. If you have a background in journalism, even better!
