As a Delivery Manager on the Digital Experience team within Dow Jones, you will lead the delivery of a digital news team; adding value and minimizing waste in a continuous delivery cycle. Coaching the team on Lean principles of Value and Waste Coaching Agile Framework, with a focus on Scrum or Kanban. Partnering with cross-functional teams to eliminate roadblocks, manage expectations, and risk. Managing resource forecasting, trend analysis, and financial reporting. Communicating milestones, team progress, and financial status.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
Working within a cross-functional development team, reporting to the Director of Project Management, you will have the opportunity to define and refine our process around delivery whilst ensuring the highest level of code quality. Your prior experience working in a development environment delivering services and new features will aid you when joining a team that is already making a significant impact across the business.
You will:
Ensure the delivery by:
Driving definition of project planning, scope, and backlog grooming
Coaching the team to deliver iteratively and with high quality
Managing and mitigating risk and issues
Ensuring external project dependencies are properly tracked
Communicating and reporting status at appropriate frequency and details for each stakeholder
Data (metrics) based project tracking and delivery projection
Drive agile ceremonies
Assist with technical feasibility, implementation approach, deployment strategies, and QA efforts
Help drive the work intake process
Serve the Team by:
Helping them to construct solid working agreements, guidelines and drive process adherence and improvement
Optimizing productivity and driving team accountability
Partnering with the product owner on scope, backlog grooming, stakeholder communications, etc
Collaboratively defining, documenting, and driving agile adoption
Foster cross-team coordination and communication
Motivating, empowering, and improving the team
Know and understand the project:
Gain a detailed understanding of the products, tools, and practices of the teams
Knowledge of the technical and business context of the project including related services
Demonstrable understanding of your product domain and immediate surrounding areas, be able to and confident of discussing this with PMO team members.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university
At least 5 years of experience managing projects and teams at various levels of maturity
Demonstrate progressively responsible experience / technical expertise in systems/software including managing multiple projects and teams on large-scale programs
Excellent team management skills and detailed understanding of product and systems integration issues
Some applied knowledge of the media industry, web technologies, and user engagement platforms
Proven ability to produce high levels of customer/stakeholder satisfaction
Basic investment industry knowledge including industry drivers, key players, trends, business processes, and third-party service providers
Ability to prepare resource and time estimates with a good degree of reliability
Strong presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Strong customer service skills; frequent strategic interactions with high-level clients
Time and task management skills
Demonstrated leadership and team-building experience
Agile certification (CSM/PSM, PMI-ACP, PMP, SAFe, etc)
Expert user of Jira/Confluence
