The Product Health Manager (PHM) role supports the ongoing and proactive management of resiliency, availability, stability and security initiatives across the Dow Jones technology estate. This role works across Dow Jones’ businesses to ensure accurate monitoring and tracking of initiatives that impact 900+ applications.
This role will work with the VP, Product Health to:
Manage the ongoing collection and analysis of key product health metrics displayed in the Product Health Dashboard
Collaborate with engineering teams to define the current state of initiatives and understand the roadmap for completion
Understand stability and security priorities with DJ technology leaders, supporting scope development and budget implications
Lead key product health initiatives that span all Dow Jones engineering teams
Oversee and ensure accuracy of metrics associated with product health initiatives
Lead regular working sessions with engineering teams to contextualize metrics and develop a view of the plan for completion
Support the identification, development, and consensus of scope for new initiatives as they emerge including definition, resource requirements and budget implications
Act as a source of truth for resiliency initiatives with a view into schedule, progress, and scope
Ensure dependencies across teams are identified and tracked
Build executive level narrative to communicate and justify resiliency needs
Create and report status and progress to team members and engineering leads
Identify issues with existing processes and develop new approaches to ensure initiatives progress and metrics are captured and detailed
Develop and communicate plans for key initiatives that span all engineering teams
4+ years of project management experience
Experience in a technology product environment with a detailed understanding of the software development process
Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels.
Excellent prioritization and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Experience managing a large number of stakeholders and cross-organizational programs
Experience developing and implementing process improvements
Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and manage competing demands
