Dow Jones Software Engineer in PRINCETON, New Jersey

Job Description:

Required Skills/Experience

  • Experience building both the client-side and server-side of consumer-facing web applications and developing single page applications using modern JavaScript technologies.

  • Hands-on experience in React, Backbone, Node.js, and Koa API development

  • Hands-on experience using Microsoft development technologies, specifically .NET and C# development.

  • Relational Database experience including Design, SQL, stored procedures, and Data Modeling preferably with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL/Aurora.

  • Strong Object Oriented Design/Development skills

  • Hands on experience with middleware integration, application troubleshooting/debugging tools/techniques.

  • Experience in JSON, XML, and CSS technologies like CSSNext, LESS, Sass, CSS Modules.

  • Experience writing unit tests using Mocha, Karma.JS, automated testing frameworks, etc.

  • Experience with Git, Jenkins and NPM.

  • Experience and understanding of Agile development principles
